Position
Summary:
Responsible for the repair and maintenance of all slot equipment.
Essential Work FunctionsPerforms repairs, overhauls, and preventative maintenance, including cleaning, on all slot machines on property.
Performs the initial set-up and check-out of new slot machines.
Responsible for the break-down, relocation, and set-up of relocated slot machines and stands.
Responds to slot machines in a timely manner to resolve guest complaints regarding technical problems with slot machines.
Verifies that all slot games communicate accurately with internal systems for accounting purposes; researches and resolves issues that arise with same.
Notifies Slot Technician Supervisor of pertinent issues, as needed.
Maintains slot floor security by notifying department management of any suspicious activity.
Maintains working knowledge of all local jurisdictional gaming laws (federal, state, and local) and attendant regulations as well as company internal controls.
Participates in slot department special projects in a team environment by interpreting gaming documents, gathering material necessary to complete the project, including RAM clears, key chipping, machine moves, conversions, and upgrades.
Maintains a working knowledge of all games in order to perform repairs and/or preventative maintenance.
Must possess knowledge of player tracking system i.
e.
meters and progressivesMust have full knowledge of Compliance Advisory and the mandatory firmware notifications that are given.
Delivers excellent customer serviceResponsible for maintenance and repair of small electronic parts that need to be disassembled and repaired.
Exp.
Power supplies monitor.
Responsible for the RMA procedure on warranty parts.
Including shipping and receiving of the parts.
Responsible for special projects that may be hand down from slot tech supervisor, manager, and senior director.
Job Specifications:
Previous Slot Tech or IT related experience preferred;Must have basic computer and maintenance skill knowledge.
Must have machine knowledge i/e/ troubleshooting, game recalls, clear bill jams, machine optioning, etc.
Team Player with the capability to learn both on their own and with supervision i.
e.
:
Study Machine Manuals, Internal Controls, and Par Sheets.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Electronics experience and/or degree preferred.
Is able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time.
Must be able to obtain a Gaming license through the state of Maine.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Heaving lifting required; Ability to pick up 200 lbs.
At other times, the work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, walking and climbing; recurring bending, reaching, pushing, pulling and lifting, or similar activities.
The work may require specific, but common, physical characteristics and abilities, such as above average agility and dexterity.
The work environment is one with possible exposure to prolonged loud noise.
