YOUR DAYThis full-time entry-level customer service position in human services works during the day.
As an Office Secretary - Administrative Assistant with our nonprofit, you serve as the main point of contact for those who visit our Opportunity Center.
You warmly greet each visitor who enters our center as well as answer and direct calls to the appropriate personnel.
Using your excellent organizational skills, you schedule appointments for participants and send out reminders about upcoming orientations or appointments.
You also collect and timestamp participant documentation and mail outreach letters to those who've missed activities.
Running reports through our FedcapCARES system, you generate data to organize daily tasks and ensure nothing is amiss.
Additionally, you identify and order needed office supplies.
If you need to step away from the reception area, you make sure that someone is there to cover you and monitor the desk to answer phone calls.
You maintain a friendly and engaging manner no matter who you're speaking to and ensure every participant, visitor, or stakeholder feels welcome at our nonprofit.
